You can make about 20k gold running it once and can farm dungeons for about 300 gold per fight. You'll get that just from playing campaign casually or trying out arena or heck SELLING campaign cards that are annoying to farm for.Ĭampaign has been proven to be clearable using only the cards you are given for free or earn during the campaign. 500 plat isn't hard to get, it's only about 60,000 gold. I'm not sure how cheap his decks have gone but I know they were down to $5 last I checked. You can build one for an insignificant amount of money that you can easily farm just running the campaign. KingGabriel (who just said hi) has built arena clear decks that are dirt cheap and listed them online. You can't tell it's easy to make money if you clearly need a lot of money to start making money This is also untrue. Keep in mind that getting a really good PvP deck without spending any money at all will take a lot of grinding, but it is possible. They did this to make gold desirable to PvP players so that they would sell some of their PvP cards and packs for gold so that the PvE players would have a point of entry to PvP. You have the option of spending gold to play a slot machine game to potentially upgrade the chest's rarity or earn other special rewards. Every time you open a PvP pack you get a chest. Gold currently only has one use, but will have more in the future. However, all cards(except those you get for free when you create your account) are tradable and there is an ingame auction house where players can buy and sell anything for gold or plat. You spend money to get Platinum, which you then use to buy packs(200 plat per pack from the game store, cheaper on the auction house) and enter tournaments(100 or 200 plat depending on the tournament format). The PvP portion is really more pay to play, and follows the traditional physical trading card purchasing model. You can earn almost all of the PvE cards, as well as a good chunk of PvP common cards, by just playing through the PvE content. There are two portions of the game, PvE and PvP.
